Louvre Abu Dhabi Makes It as One of the 7 Urban Wonders of the World!
It looks like it’s not only Time magazine that listed the Louvre Abu Dhabi as one of the world’s greatest places for 2018. The Seven Urban Wonders of the World is another list that featured the capital’s recent art gallery. The list, generated by travel tech company LikeWhere, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, is based on crowd-sourced information from influencers and travelers with a combined reach of more than 3.5 million.
The research was fully funded by Hilton Hotels & Resorts ahead of the company’s 100th anniversary. The research included the places that scored the highest in seven categories; local cuisine, architecture, heritage and culture, diversity, activities available, and Instagrammability.
The museum was established on the 8th of November, 2017, as a part of a thirty-year agreement between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government. The art and civilization museum is located on Saadiyat Island Cultural District making it the largest art museum in the Arabian Penninsula.
