Egypt and the world are currently in a battle with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The lockdown has strained our social ties and community bonds by imposing curfews, social distancing measures, and other safety regulations. However, the lockdown certainly didn’t succeed in stealing the joy away from Egypt’s young hearts, as an old activity has resurfaced to add excitement and color to our sky. Flying kites! Egyptians have yet again surprised us with another talent; an outdoor activity that we used to play when we were kids has once again taken over the skies of Cairo and many other governorates. The skyline has been dotted with kites as quarantined residents took to their rooftops to fly their beautifully shaped and colored kites. Scroll down to have a look!
