Hollywood Arab Film Festival Returns For Its Second Edition
Film buffs, rejoice! The second edition of the Hollywood Arab Film Festival is set to return on April 26 until 29. Born out of Hollywood, the film festival highlights all things entertainment with the intention of starting a conversation between Arab and North African filmmakers along with other professionals in the film industry. Here’s all you need to know about the second edition kicking off at the perfect time during Arab Heritage Month.
The second edition of the festival is set to not only honor renowned Egyptian filmmaker, Khairy Beshara but he’ll also be doing a book signing of his debut novel, ‘El Kebreyea’ El Seeny.’ This will mark the director’s second time at the Hollywood festival as last year he was among the attendees. Celebrities such as Egyptian actress, Laila Eloui is set to give a talk. There’s also Tunisian actor, Dhaffer L’Abidine whose film, ‘Ghodwa’ will be screened followed by a discussion with L’Abidine himself.
One of the Eid films, ‘Saah Egaba’ is also making its Hollywood debut at the festival with a screening.
Last year’s inaugural edition saw the likes of filmmaker Mohamed Hefzy, actress Salwa Mohamed Ali, director and screenwriter Amr Salama and many more. So this round is sure to be exciting.
