Here’s Why We Think Torab El-Mas Was This Eid’s Biggest Blessing!

I don’t know how long I’ve been fangirling over this movie, probably since the first rumors arrived about the cast around a year ago, but the least I can say is that it was definitely worth the wait. It’s safe to say that this movie has something for everyone; from the adrenaline junkies to the bookworms and everything in between!
This is what happens when the ever-so-talented writer, Ahmed Mourad, collaborates with one of the most creative minds in the directing world, Marwan Hamed. Each is a master in his area, and if you still haven’t seen their previous collaboration, El Feel El Azra2, then you better rush to your nearest movie theater and watch what happens when magic takes place in Torab El-Mas.
I must say, the cast selection was on point. But what I really love about this movie is how each character is so complex, yet every actor gave their 100% and took me on a rollercoaster with every plot-twist (boy are there a lot of those!). And although Asser Yassine, Menna Shalaby, Mohamed Mamdouh and Eyad Nassar all gave their usual top-notch performance, what really blew me away was the work of Ahmed Kamal as Hussein El-Zahar and Maged El-Kidwani as Walid Sultan. You can really feel how these two threw caution into the wind and got deep into their characters for them to deliver such a professional articulation. Frankly speaking, I could go on and on and it would still wouldn’t do it justice, plus, I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you!
Simply put, this movie could singlehandedly prove to the world that the Egyptian film industry is back and stronger than ever. And the fact that it earned EGP 10 million in just one week says something, doesn’t it?
