10-Year-Old Egyptian Girl Gets Married in Dakhalia
The Egyptian governorate of Dakahlia just witnessed the union of the world’s youngest married couple, according to Al Masry Al Youm. 11-year-old Faris and 10-year-old Nancy celebrated their marriage by throwing a massive wedding in the streets of Dakhlia. The families of the bride and the groom attended the wedding, along with a live band and three belly dancers. The wedding went on till the early hours of the next morning.
Faris’ dad said he wanted his son to be happy and to see his grandchildren sooner, rather than later. The young couple’s marriage was done in a 3orfy matter to avoid any consequences until they both come of age and legally marry. Faris and Nancy now live in their own 200-square-meters apartment.
