Photos of flooding in Alexandria have spread across Egyptian social media today after rain fell in the coastal city. Despite rainfall being an annual occurrence, the photos of flooded streets, submerged cars and news of drowned Alexandrians make us wonder why we’re not more prepared for bad weather.
