This year, Egyptian superstar Yousra, with a career spanning more than 150 projects, is back in full force with three brand-new works. In each one, she steps into a completely different character, taking audiences on a distinct and unexpected journey. Here’s a closer look at what Yousra is preparing for in 2026.
Banat Faten
Directed by Mohammed Nader and written by Amina Moustapha, the film brings together a strong cast led by Yousra, alongside Bassem Samra, Huda El Mufti, Hamdy Heikal, Mustafa Shihata, and Islam Mubarak. The cast has officially wrapped filming, with the project now in post-production and expected to be released soon.
Banat Faten follows Yousra as the main character, a woman from a struggling working-class family trying to hold everything together as life grows increasingly complicated. Married to Bassem Samra’s character, she is also the mother of two daughters, played by Huda El Mufti and Basma Nabil.
As pressures mount at home, she finds herself navigating the emotional weight of a strained marriage while also confronting the personal struggles and challenges facing her daughters, in a story that explores resilience, family bonds, and everyday survival.

El Set Lamma
Directed by Khaled Abou Ghareeb and written by Kerolos Ayman Fawzy and Mohamed Badawy, the film stars Yousra alongside an ensemble cast, including Yasmine Raeis, Dorra, Maged El Masry, Entsar, Hamdy Merghany, Donia Sami, and more.
In the story, Yousra plays “Dina El-Kordi,” a well-known media personality whose life unfolds within a socially driven, women-centered narrative. The film highlights themes of female empowerment through a broader campaign supporting women, blending personal drama with a wider message of solidarity and strength.

Qalb Shams
Director Mohamed Sami steps in front of the camera for his acting debut alongside none other than superstar Yousra in this social drama. Written and directed by Sami, the series also boasts a talented cast including Dorra Zarrouk, Injy El Mokkaddem, Entesar, Sawsan Badr, Passant Shawky, Edward, and Menna Fadali. Set to stream on Yango Play, the project promises to introduce a fresh and compelling new direction for the platform.
At its core, the series explores the complexities of family relationships and the deeply human, often challenging situations individuals navigate within Egyptian society, weaving together emotional storytelling with socially grounded themes.

With three powerful projects on the horizon, Yousra once again proves she remains at the top of her game, continuing to build on a career defined by major awards and international recognition. If anything, this new slate only raises expectations, making it safe to say we’re more than ready to see what she delivers next.
