TBS Invented Not Just a New Dessert, but a New English Word and They’re Adding It to the Dictionary!

Via TBS

Since food is an integral tradition of our Ramadan, a new innovation arises in the world of desserts every year. Kunafa, in particular, was reinvented several times. It went from the mango Kunafa frenzy to the red velvet Kunafa craze, and then came the Nutellization of our eastern desserts. This Ramadan, TBS just revamped our favorite dessert turning it into what is now known as Cronafa.

Cronafa is basically an Egyptian oriental pastry, made from croissant rolled in Kunafa. It comes in four different kinds of fillings and toppings from cream and pistachio, Nutella and nuts, to dates and Lotus, and halawa and sesame. To our surprise, TBS didn’t just invent a new dessert, they obviously invented the word as well, but it didn’t stop there. They even registered and trademarked the word at the Egyptian Patent and Trademark Office to keep all its rights. So guys, don’t you dare try to come up with something similar and copy their precious invention. TBS called dibs on it!

Not just that, but TBS has high hopes of adding the word to the English dictionary to have this Egyptian innovation widely known worldwide. That’s why they created a petition so that all their loyal customers would back them up at it. So what are you waiting for? Head over to www.cronafa.info and help add this Egyptian masterpiece to the English dictionary.
