Stay at Home: Saudi Arabia Issues Visa Extensions to Those Affected by Flight Suspension

On Sunday, the Saudi General Directorate of Passports issued a visa extension to visitors who are stuck in the districts of the Kingdom in light of the recent suspension of international flights as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.

Last week, all flights from and to Saudi Arabia were put on hold for a period of two weeks to reduce international traffic in an attempt to slow down the spread of the virus. Subsequently, many were left stranded in the Kingdom.

All tourists within Saudi can now extend their visas online via the Absher e-platform or by visiting local passport departments throughout the Kingdom.

At the time of writing this article, Saudi Arabia reported 392 cases of the coronavirus with one case in recovery.

WE SAID THIS: Our thoughts and prayers go to those affected by the virus, and hopefully, this matter will be solved as soon as possible.
