Sorry Everyone But Pepsi’s Ramadan Ad Just Won the This Seasons Advertising Race

While most tv series’ this year have lacked in that awe factor, leaving viewers in a state of meh, the TV ads’ race has been as entertaining as every Ramadan.

From telecom companies spending hundreds of millions to cast mega-celebrities, Assala mistakingly singing for Madinaty instead of Jerusalem, agencies getting caught for alleged copy write infringement and Etoile having the audacity to promote it’s Konafa Cola and so much more.

Sorry guys, but it seems Pepsi saved the best ad for last. The advert by BIGFOOT Production just aired last night and it’s the epitome of nostalgia. It has the Peace Cake fun and creative input all over it.

The ad basically spoofs 80s and 90s Ramadan tv series intros, while reminding us that we all have an annual role in Ramadan.

The casting of celebrities in this ad is brilliant. Fadia Abdel Ghany? Epic. Zakeya Zakareya? Out of this world. Not to mention a cameo by Yaya and Safi from Romanceya Manseya; to be honest these two might be the only ones millennials recognize. Ze2ab ElGabal and Ilham Shanin fans will definitely relate though.
