Night Swimming Is About to Become a Thing in Dubai
Dubai’s beaches are set to shine bright like diamonds at night with the installation of ‘smart poles.’ What’s that? These poles are set to provide high-intensity lighting on the shores.
The new project from D Idea Media is bound to make Dubai’s beaches much safer, whether you’re just going for a stroll along the shore, or even making a splash in the actual water.
“The pilot project is aimed at illuminating the beach areas after sunset so that authorities can consider allowing night swimming,” Viktor Nelepa, the founder and CEO of the company, told Gulf News.
The poles are going to be 12 meters high and will be positioned 25 meters away from the sea. They can illuminate the water for up to 30 meters.
