Former IDF Soldier Recalls His Trauma-Filled Experience While Serving In The Military

Former Israeli tank commander Ori Givati had served in the Israeli Defence Force and now reflects on his time and duties there from 2010 to 2013. After joining an NGO called ‘Breaking The Silence’ in 2017, he gathered testimonies from over 100 former Israeli soldiers and shared their personal experiences within occupied Palestine.

He is now the advocacy director of ‘Breaking the Silence’. The project aims to share these testimonies in order to raise awareness of the brutal impact of Israeli military activities on Palestinian civilians. He is responsible for international relations and media presence around the world.
