Egyptian Initiative ‘Farahny Shokran’ Saves Struggling Newlyweds

Ten years ago, we thought getting married would cost you a fortune. With the continuous surge in prices, low salaries, and unemployment, Egyptian youths have been struggling more than ever to start a family. The mere joy of having a set of plates, a television, or maybe a makeup artist for your wedding day is stripped away from many couples.

A group of young Egyptians based in Suez came up with the cutest humanitarian initiative that can give couples a proper push start while preparing for their happily ever after. Farahny Shokran is a campaign aimed at supplying newlyweds with everything they need to get married. Whether it’s a wedding photographer, makeup artist, kitchen tools, blankets or clothing, they’ve got them covered.
