Dave Chappelle Calls Out U.S. Government On Allocation Of ‘Tax Dollars’ Amid Israel-Gaza Conflict

Is there a glimpse of change happening in America? The current outbreak in the Palestinian regions is causing a huge split all over the world, particularly in America. A country that is still dealing with an unresolved history of racial injustices. On Thursday, at a show in Boston, the Muslim American Comedian Dave Chappelle condemned Israel’s murdering of children and the bombing of Gaza.

The 22,000 people-mostly white-crowd were split between cheerers of “Free Palestine”, and those who walked out of the show feeling unsafe or triggered. Chappelle was outraged when one of the audience told him to “shut the F up”.

Chappelle initially addressed the issue of students losing, or being rejected for jobs due to their support for Palestine. That is after three Harvard graduates have been denied jobs over their support for Palestine. He also accused the United States of playing a part in killing innocent children.

“I want to address what is going on in Palestine and Israel…what happened on 7 October was not right…you can’t kill innocent civilians like that and the whole world sits silently”

When one of the audience told Chappelle to shut up, this prompted the comedian to further criticize the Israeli government for cutting off water and other basic supplies to Gaza.

“Don’t come begging for money from my country, and then go drop bombs on children and cut off innocent people’s water and electricity.”

Something is changing in America, induced by the current outbreak. Chappelle isn’t the only performer who faces conflict over their remarks on Israel. Madonna and Natalie Portman, among others, also caused a split after calling for peace in the region.
