Credit to the Artist: “Love in Maryland” is Egyptian Nostalgia at it’s Best

Nothing beats the artistic vibes that fashion designers and cinematographers create. It’s Ramadan, which means one thing in the land of advertising, nostalgia.

Fashion Designer, Shahenda Hegazy, gave us a taste of the real Egypt in the 80s in the Love in Maryland film. For the SS19 collection, Parisian Butterflies, the artist shared the funkiest thing we’ve seen this week. From the font, the music, the designs, and locations, this is a must-watch fashion film for every 70s and 80s kid.

The collection is anything but vintage, it perfectly suits the modern woman. However, Egyptian stylist, Yasmine Eissa, added a retro feel to the outfits by adding flowy sleeves, anklets, chokers, capes, hats, sunglasses and shoes that fit the theme.
