Cairo Opera House To Host The 6th edition Of Cairo Days International Monodrama Festival

Cairo Days International Monodrama Festival is set to kick off tonight its sixth edition at Cairo Opera House’s Open-Air Theatre. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and chaired by the founder of the festival Osama Raouf. 

A Monodrama is a play starring a single actor. It is similar to a dramatic monologue in that the audience witnesses the thoughts and actions of a character. 

With the ceremony beginning tonight at 8:30pm, the festival will continue until 5th October.

It is worth noting that five artists will be honored during the opening ceremony. The late Dr. Mustafa Selim, Ali Al Mahdi, Italian director Valbona Cipri, Muhammad Saeed Al-Dhanhani, and Muhammad Sobhi.
