Breaking: Egypt Announces Changes to Quarantine Period For Those Returning From Abroad
Ever since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been struggling with travel, even those wanting to simply return home. The government of Egypt has been going the extra mile to ensure that everyone gets a chance to make it back home safely. Those who returned from abroad used to stay 14 days in quarantine to ensure both their safety and that of others.
However, it was just announced that the period of quarantine for those returning from abroad has been adjusted to 7 days instead of 14 days. The new regulations ensure that those who return from abroad get tested for the virus, and if it’s negative they’re sent home to complete the full quarantine period, and if they test positive, to treatment and care in a specialized hospital.
