Arab Business Titans Topping Forbes’ Middle East 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen

This year, Arab women have dominated the business world topping the list for the Middle East’s 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen. Each woman on the list is considered a business leader championing success in the Middle East and beyond. At the very top of is Hana Al Rostamani, Group CEO of the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) who managed to climb up two spots to land first place in 2023.

Nabbing the second and third positions were Emirati Raja Easa Al Gurg, the Chairperson and Managing Director of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, and Lubna S. Olayan, Chair of the Saudi British Bank and Chair of the Executive Committee and Deputy Chair of Olayan Financing Company.

As with every year, the 2023 rankings celebrate business mavericks stemming from 27 different nationalities across multiple sectors. The women in this year’s list have not only excelled at running powerful finance business conglomerates, they also placed significant importance on education and empowerment initiatives. A prime example is of Egyptian Rawya Mansour, Founder and Chairwoman of RAMSCO, who ranked 27 on the list for her inspiring work of establishing an organic farming project and entrepreneurs’ initiative for zero-waste eco-villages.
