Saudi Arabia’s Luxury Train: A Saudi-Italian Collab
This opulent rail experience is a collaboration between Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) and Italian luxury brand Arsenale. Designed by acclaimed Lebanese architect Aline Asmar d’Amman, the train features 14 beautifully crafted carriages, housing 34 exclusive suites.
Interiors Inspired by Saudi Heritage
The interiors take inspiration from Saudi heritage, capturing the soul of places like AlUla and Madain Saleh in the rich wooden carvings, geometric patterns, and rich colors that reflect a modern yet culturally immersive aesthetic.
Think plush lounges reminiscent of a majlis, hand-carved wooden accents, and corridors adorned with Saudi-inspired artworks.
From Riyadh to the Desert Frontier
The Dream of the Desert will operate on Saudi’s Northern Railway network, covering an epic 1,300-kilometer route from Riyadh to Qurayyat, near the Jordanian border.
Along the way, passengers will experience breathtaking desert vistas, stopping at key cultural hotspots like Hail and Al Jouf.
Culinary Delights on the Rails
The journey will offer one—and two-night itineraries, promising curated cultural programs and gourmet dining by local and international chefs.
