A Round-Up Of Celebrities Rocking Arab Designs At The 29th SAG Awards
On Sunday, Feb.26, the 29th edition of the prestigious Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) took place in the heart of Los Angeles’ Fairmont Century Plaza. Actors gathered under one roof for an entertaining awards ceremony with viewers hunched over their TVs with their popcorn bowls discussing who wore what, who got snubbed and who finally got their recognition. For us, the most memorable moments were seeing some celebrities wearing favorite Arab designer fashion.
“Emily in Paris” actress, Ashley Park donned a fitted cream gown with gold and silver detail around the bodice paired with a dramatic chiffon cape by Lebanese designer, Elie Saab.
American actress, Jessica Chastain, was awarded Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for her role in “George and Tammy.” The “Molly’s Game” star accepted her award in an off-the-shoulder fuchsia taffeta gown by Lebanese designer, Zuhair Murad. Along with Chastain, American actress, Jenny Slate sported a monochrome black gothic-inspired gown with off-shoulder detail framing a gold and black bralette also by the Lebanese designer.
