Iranian Girl Achieves IQ Score Beating Einstien and Hawking
Accroding to The Bucks Harold, 11-year-old Iranian high school student Tara Sharifi, made headlines by recently scoring 162 points on an IQ test surpassing great thinkers such as Albert Einstein and the late Professor Stephen Hawking.
Tara is a student at UK’s Aylesbury High School and took the IQ test at Oxford. The result put her above the genius mark of 140. “I was shocked when I got the result – I never expected to get such a good score” Tara told The Bucks Herald. “It was a joint decision between me and my parents to take the test.”
“It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other people within the Mensa system. I have told some of my friends at school and they were really impressed.” She also added that when she gets older, she would pursue “something related to mathematics”.
Hossein Sharifi, Tara’s father told Bucks Herlad reporters that he’s “extremely proud” of his daughter. “I figured she might do well when we watched TV and she would get maths questions before the contestants. I knew she was very clever but I did not think she would have such a high IQ”, he said.
