Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris discussed during an interview with CNBC where he stood from the Syrian situation. The businessman and tycoon announced that he does not oppose the recent military strikes conducted by the US, Great Britain, and France.
“It’s important to tell people that you cannot support a dictator that is gassing people and gets away with it,” Sawiris explained to CNBC’s Hadley Gamble in Abu Dhabi, adding “I’m not one of the people opposing the strike because … if you say it’s a red line and then do nothing like President Obama, then all that you do here is give people the green light to go and do stuff”.
“All in all, I am for this strike,” Sawiris said. The billionaire just shared his CNBC interview on his social media pages and the comments are less than flattering.
