Summer is upon us and many of you must be planning early autumn European trips. One struggle that has always faced Egyptians is finding appointment slots at the embassies of countries that are member states of the Schengen Area. It usually takes up to a month to find the first available date.
This leads to a common issue of booking the earliest possible appointment at any member state’s embassy to obtain a Schengen visa to then use it to travel to the intented Shengen Area country.
During an interview with Amr Adib on El-Hekaya, Ahmed Hafez, a spokesman from the Egyptian foreign ministry, explained that many Egyptians are sent back to Egypt from European countries when they don’t comply to the new law. Hafez encourages everyone to stick to the embassy of the country they intend to visit.
