“Two Marvel icons and a football legend”

Stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman joined BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb to chat about “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the only Marvel Cinematic Universe film this year.

During the conversation, they took a moment to share their admiration for Mo Salah. The topic arose when Jackman’s long and successful career was compared to Salah’s. Jackman was genuinely flattered and expressed how honored he felt to be mentioned alongside the football star.

Both Jackman and Salah are known for their professionalism, dedication, and enduring success in their fields.

Reynolds also added a touch of humor, “I feel like Salah is getting the short shrift here.” Jackman wrapped up his praise with, “I think you’re amazing and please respond to my DMs.”

Reynolds, wearing his hat as Co-chairman of Wrexham AFC, then extended an invitation to Salah to visit the Racecourse Ground in North Wales, playfully mentioning that all they needed was five minutes on the field together.

It looks like Mo Salah has just earned two new cool fans: Deadpool and Wolverine!
