Underwater Yoga Is Coming Back To the UAE for its Second Season

You probably think the title doesn’t even make sense, underwater and yoga combined in one sentence? Well, when it comes to Dubai nothing is impossible. Underwater yoga classes are coming back this Saturday, 17th of Feb, at the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo at The Dubai Mall.

The yoga class is of course not literally underwater but it’s as close as it gets. It returns back for the second season after it attracted many yogis when it was launched last year. ‘Healing with Sound’ is the name of this season’s first session, the session will combine yoga with various meditation techniques including pranayama (control of breath).

The second class, on the 24th of Feb, will be dedicated for working in tandem with your fellow yogi’s in a ‘Partner Up’ class. On the 3rd of March, ‘Discovering Your Sight’ an up-tempo vinyasa flow session will be held challenging your coordination and balance. Finally, the last class will take place on the 10th of March under the name of ‘Sense of Smell’. The session is aimed entirely at stimulating a greater sense of relaxation and clarity through the use of fragrances.

Classes will be limited to a maximum of 35 people each, costing Dhs125 per person. The ticket comes with a coupon for a free session at Piloga’s studio, 20% off juice programmes from Essentially, a free vegan snack bar, and water. Not only this, but you don’t even need to bring ayou mat as Lululemon are offering technical yoga mats for all sessions plus a chance to win a yoga outfit at each session.
