Is the UAE Banning Haj?
The UAE is reportedly not administering Haj permits to Muslim expatriates currently residing in the UAE, as stated by the UAE’s Ministry of Religious Affairs (Al Awqaf).
It is largely unclear why this ban is being placed but, according to Khaleeji Times, Umrah office officials have affirmed hearing that this policy is going to receive implementation.
The officials, however, have denied receiving any further instructions regarding the specific modality of implementation.
