The El Gouna International Spinning® Marathon is coming back this year bigger and better than ever on Saturday, Apr. 18. In its second edition, the EGISM all-day party on wheels will feature more spinning time, more bikes and world-class spinning professionals leading the event.
Four highly-regarded Master Instructors are flying in from abroad for the marathon, including Stefan Amiri from Germany, Maurizio Bottoni from Italy, Gina Grant from the UK and Rose O’Donovan from the UAE.
Local Spinning favorites Mila Bonvini, Yasmine Adly, Astrid Cross-Van Der Ploeg, Liliana D’Aniello, the ever-inspiring Nirvana Zaher and none other than Egypt’s only woman to ever finish an Ironman Race, Khadiga Amin, will also be making appearances on the Presenter Podium, motivating spinners with their electrifying energy and contagious spirit.
Organized by LAX Gymnasium and The Fitness Playground, EGISM will take place at the picturesque Club 88, with bikes lined up around the iconic circular pool for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Red Sea.
The after party (spin hard, play hard!) will take place at Aurora, and Fanadir and Mosaique are offering special rates for EGISM attendees.

What is the purpose of the El Gouna International Spinning® Marathon?
El Gouna International Spinning® Marathon is part of a global community of Spinning Marathons that are scheduled regularly throughout the year. It is the first Spinning Marathon of this scale to be organized in the Middle East.
EGI Spinning Marathon is an event that is held every year in El Gouna, Red Sea, making this beautiful resort town a fitness destination and finally placing it on the international map. Spinning enthusiasts from all over the world gather up at the beach for an endorphin-packed extravaganza where Master Instructors and home-grown local talent unite to showcase some of the most exciting Spinning performances of the season.
Spinning rides are combined with musical acts on percussion, saxophone and the electric guitar to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants without even stepping off the bike. The event also attracts individuals looking to enjoy an afternoon in the sun, fresh cocktails, a nutritious bite and some seriously good music.
What’s the vibe like?
It’s NOT a competition. It’s high-energy, super friendly and participants come from all levels of fitness. You’ll find riders encouraging each other to be their best and friends and family are welcome to come and cheer us on!
Hungry? The kitchen is at your service! Want a drink? The pool bar sits amidst the Spinning bikes! Bored? Impossible! The energy is electrifying as Master Instructors guide the crowd through a journey from one hill to the next, while soaking in a 360 degree scenic treat that extends into the night.
How long will it last?
We’ll be spinning for eight hours starting from 1:00pm! But don’t worry, you don’t have to ride for the entire time alone…
Can people share a bike?
Yes! You can ride alone, in partners, or as a team. If you don’t have someone to share a bike with, we’ll pair you up, no problem! Just let us know.
How many bikes are there?
80! Last year, we had 40 bikes. The marathon will be here before you know it, so be sure to book your bike!
