One of the most successful designers with Italian origin, Giorgio Armani, is back in Dubai after nearly a decade amid the inauguration
After holding his Cruise 2020 in Tokyo last year, Armani chose Dubai to be the next hosting land of his upcoming cruise 2021 show, in order to tighten the strands with the Middle East and to showcase the designer’s love for Dubai. The renowned designer said in a statement, “Dubai is a luxurious and fascinating place with a soul focused on the future, always in pursuit of the imagination.” According to the National AE.
The cruise 2021 show will be held in April to synchronize with the reopening of the Giorgio Armani store in Dubai Mall. This show is marked as one of the long-awaited high profile fashion shows to take place in Dubai. Additionally, the show will be held six months before the launch of Expo 2020 Dubai.
This event will be added on to the list of high profile shows that have made it to Dubai throughout the years. Karl Lagerfeld in May of 2014 was able to present Chanel’s cruise 2015 collection on a private island off Jumeirah. This year however, Maria Grazia chose to showcase Christian Dior’s 2019 Spring Haute Couture collection in Dubai for a second time in Dubai’s Safa Park.
