#Stayathomechallenge: Arab Celebs and Footballers Make the Best Out of the Coronavirus Quarantine
The COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak resulted in quarantines in different countries around the globe, including Egypt. People have become even more active on social media platforms, and football players started a challenge to keep the morale up among their fans.
The #stayathomechallenge is pretty easy, all you need to do is to shoot a video of yourself washing your hands and juggling a soccer ball. It started in the US by San Jose Earthquakes defender Tommy Thompson who is encouraging his fans to keep the positive vibes and show him their skills.
Other players are taking the challenge further by juggling household items such as toilet rolls and teddy bears. Here is the Premier League footballer Theo Walcott nailing it with a cute teddy bear and the former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher miserably failing his first toilet roll joggling attempt.
Egyptian footballers and celebrities are also joining the trend, like Al Ahly goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy who started the challenge in Egypt, and the former Zamalek star Mido who juggled the sanitizer itself.
Masrah Masr stars, Ali Rabee, Osos, and Mohamed Anwar accepted the challenge in their own funny ways and opened fire on their friends and colleagues.
The whole world is going through a very hard time with millions of infected people and no vaccine in hand. All we can do is to keep calm and protect ourselves by listening to the experts, applying the quarantine, and keeping our spirits up.
This lockdown is only temporary, and eventually, it is going to end, so let’s enjoy the time we have until we reach a good ending.
