Royal Baby Boom: A Glimpse into the Arab Royal Families’ Next Generation
In early August, Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Saudi-born Princess Rajwa welcomed their first child, Iman, into the world.
She is the first grandchild of King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania and has been making waves across social media. The new royals themselves have also been making waves.
First Things First… Who Are The Royal Couple?
Hussein and Rajwa are the royal Jordanian couple who tied the knot last summer. Both come from different worlds: Rajwa was born in Saudi Arabia and worked in an architecture firm in Los Angeles, while Hussein is the Crown Prince of Jordan, known as the eldest son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania.
When taking a step back and looking at the royal family as a whole, their total net worth is about $1.4 trillion, which is 16 times more than that of the British royal family.
Now that we have learned more about the Jordanian royal family itself, it Is time to take a detour into the Arab royal babies, starting with Hussein and Rajwa’s cute newborn:
Princess Iman Bint Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II
Coming first, there’s Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the daughter of Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah and Saudi-born Princess Rajwa. She was brought into the world on August 3rd, and since then, has been on everyone’s radar, taking over social media.
Recently, her dad, Hussein, posted a picture of the newborn on his Instagram with the caption, “With my precious one.” In the photo, he’s seen wearing his military uniform as he holds the royal baby.
Hind Bint Faisal AlQassimi
Way back on May 14th, 2023, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of the ruler of Dubai, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl called Hind Bint Faisal AlQassimi. This was her fourth child.
When it comes to how it all began, back in 2016, Sheikha Latifa married Sheikh Faisal bin Saud bin Khalid Al Qasimi. Before they had Hind, they already had two sons and a daughter.
Mohammed Bin Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum
Joining the long roster of royal Arab babies is HH Sheikh Hamdan’s third son. On February 25, 2023, the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced the arrival of his third child, a baby boy named Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
After marrying Sheikha Sheikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum back in 2019, the two had three children to this day, all joining the royal family of the UAE.
Shaikha Bint Maktoum Bin Mohammed
Another baby joining Dubai’s royal family was Shaikha. Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed welcomed his baby girl on January 25, 2023. On that day, many royals took to social media to congratulate Sheikh Maktoum on the birth of his baby girl.
Sheikh Maktoum is not just the Deputy Ruler of Dubai; he is also the UAE’s’ deputy prime minister and the country’s finance minister. He has three beautiful daughters, Shaikha, Hind, and Latifa, who he had with his wife Sheikha Maryam bint Butti.
