Project Runway ME’s Amna Calls Out Luma on Her Stolen Design
Last week we talked about how Project Runway Middle East’s Saba Tark has proven on Twitter that she’s the shadiest of them all, however it looks like she’s not the only shady contestant on the show. Last Saturday we witnessed another episode of Project Runway with a lot of incredible fashion.
Designer Luma Saleh who won last week’s challenge, and is always claiming that she’s the best designer in the competition, impressed the judges with her design and got one of the highest scores of the week landing in the top 3. Not everyone seemed to share the judges feelings about the design though. First, there were many people online criticizing Luma’s design for not looking Indian at all even though that was supposed to be the inspiration she picked for her design.
Then fellow contestant Amna ElShandaweely took to Twitter to expose Luma Saleh posting a Fendi look that looks exactly like Luma’s design suggesting that Luma stole the look from Pinterest and tagging her besties designers Saba Tark and Mohanad Kojak.
Which left us all like…
And we’re pretty sure Saba was like…
Like who knew Amna could be so shady?
We don’t know if Luma intended to copy the dress as is or if she was just inspired by it. However one thing we know for sure is that they’re too alike to be a coincidence
Another thing we know for sure is that today is a happy day for Saba
Luma has been online on Twitter since but hasn’t commented on the incident or replied to the tweet. Which only seems to confirm Amna’s tweet which has gotten a lot of traction and retweets since then
WE SAID THIS: Are you #TeamAmna or #TeamLuma? Let us know in the comments below.
