“Pan-Arabism at its Finest”: Saudi Arabia Invites Tunisian National Team To An All Expense Paid World Cup Training Camp

As Tunisia’s national team qualifies for the World Cup, the draw, which was drawn in early April, placed the Tunisian team in Group D along with the teams of France, the “titleholder”, Denmark, and the qualifiers from the play-offs “UAE, Australia or Peru”.

As part of the preparations for Tunisia’s national team, the Tunisian Football Association announced on Thursday, that it had received an official invitation from the Saudi Federation to host the first Tunisian national team camp in the Kingdom in preparation for participation in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Wadih Al-Jari, President of the Tunisian Football Association, said that the president of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mishal, with the support of the Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, submitted the official invitation to the Tunisian national team to carry out its preparations free of charge in the Kingdom, for as long as the Tunisian national team sees enough.

Wadih Al-Jari, President of the Tunisian Football Association, wrote through his account on “Facebook”: “Thank you to the Saudi authorities and the Football Association,” adding special thanks to Yasser Al-Mashal, while highlighting the support from Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports in Saudi Arabia, for approaching the Tunisian national team to conduct its final preparations for the World Cup in the kingdom, free of charges.
