Must-Try Immersive Dining Experiences In Dubai

Going out for dinner in Dubai is an experience in itself with the UAE being home to some of the finest restaurants in the world. Sometimes though, simply going to dinner isn’t good enough and people crave a more fun, out-of-the-box experience. Thankfully, Dubai alone is home to unique and immersive dining experiences, the kind that will have you suspended by a crane while enjoying your dinner or entering into a virtual world. With that, let’s go through some of the city’s must-try dining experiences.

Babylon

Bringing the rousing energy of a theatre production into the dining world, Babylon is back at it again with a second season. Guests arriving at this restaurant will get to dine while enjoying a seven-act theatrical production as well as a stunning drone show. Expect everything from a Fred Astaire-esque cane dance to an angelic aerial dance number. Along with the entertainment, guests can enjoy any of the restaurants innovative dishes including their wagu beef tartare, lamb katsu and oxtail kunefe pie.

Seven Paintings

For a touch of art, every Friday night, Shangri-La Dubai hosts an immersive multi-sensory dining experience where guests get to learn the story behind the most famous painters and their work. Each guest gets seated on a table with a blank canvas and then the entire table comes to life with 3D-visuals of art. Taking the guests on a journey, Leonardo Da Vinci and the Mona Lisa will narrate the stories of each artist while chef Omar Satwari will serve edible visual representations of the finest artwork from the likes of Michelangelo, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and many more.

Dinner In The Sky

For the adventure seekers out there, there is a dining concept where guests can enjoy their meals while being suspended 50 meters above the ground. Beyond the adrenaline factor, you’ll also get to enjoy panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline and landmarks including Ain Dubai. Beyond unique dining, the “Dinner In The Sky” experience is even used for birthday celebrations, proposals and anniversaries.

The Banquet of Hoshena

Craving a mystical journey through an unknown land? Using 3D visual technology, the Banquet of Hoshena teleports guests into a whimsical world called Hoshena experiencing everything from a realistic fog, enchanted magic mirrors as well as flying and talking plates. Once the dinner starts and all the lights dim, the Queen of Hoshena will tell you the story of the land, how it was once full of life but now is bare and dark. She will then request for you to help her restore life back into Hoshena and that is when you will begin the creative journey experienced through a 6-course menu.

Krasota

Turning the dinner with a show concept on its head, Krasota is bringing something new to the table through its dinner set within a theatrical show. Guests get seated on a large circular table that can take up to 20 people with 360-degree screens surrounding them on all sides. 3D multimedia including famous artwork gets projected on the surrounding screens with each act accompanied by a meal that matches the performance.

With each of these dining spots, you will get to take part in a one-of-a-kind experience that will have you coming back for more. With Dubai being quite innovative, expect even more dining concepts to pop out soon that will take the dining experience to even bigger heights.
