Ministry of Health Withdraws CETAL Medicine from Egypt’s Market
CETAL medicine has been an Egyptian mom favorite for decades. Every newborn and baby is prescribed the paracematol-based drug, whether it’s a fever or a teething pain. So to hear that there might be a problem with the distributed medicine in the country is disturbing on so many levels.
According to Youm7, The Central Department of Pharmaceutical Affairs of the Ministry of Health and Population has issued an order to withdraw and monitor all quantities and forms (suppositories, tablets and drops) of CETAL in the market and government units. The order doesn’t state reasons for such a drastic action, but we would suggest you stay away from CETAL for now.
