La Liga: Martino Breaks A Club Record

la liga

Barca’s new coach Gerardo Martino scores another victory and again he proves himself by setting a new club record.  With the 0-2 win over Almeria, Tata’s men broke the record for the best start to a La Liga campaign, winning their seventh successive opening game. The team might even manage to break rival Real Madrid’s record of nine consecutive opening games win.

With an overall good performance, Barcelona took full control of the game during the second half. Messi scored the first goal in the 21st minute, but only few minutes later he was substituted by Xavi Hernandez because of a thigh injury. Later on, Brazilian international footballer Adriano Correia scored the second goal in the 56th minute.

However, it wasn’t Barca’s best performance and the match was marked by Messi’s second injury of the season. The severity of Messi’s injury is still unknown as tests still need to be conducted. Meanwhile, Barca’s Fans are worried that the four-time FIFA Player of the Year might miss Tuesday’s Champions League at Glasgow Celtic.

Despite these glitches, Barca’s performance is still promising and they are expected to keep wining with their new coach.
