In Pictures: Dubai’s Dazzling Fireworks Display May Be the Biggest Ever Celebration of Diwali Yet

Dubai is one of the most diverse cities across the Arab region. Its multicultural society adds to its rich community mix. With many Indian expats residing in Dubai, annual festivities like Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, are huge celebrations. Diwali is celebrated on the 14th of November, and normally, Indians celebrating the festival adorn their houses with lights and decorations a few days before the festival and celebrate together in small gatherings with food and clothing dedicated especially for this occasion.

This year, the world’s largest dancing fountain, The Palm Fountain, put on a special performance for Diwali, Dubai Festival City Mall and Al Seef hosted Bollywood-themed live shows, Global Village’s India Pavilion celebrated Indian culture and food, in addition to the splendid fireworks that were held at various locations in Dubai.
