As Dubai Prepares for Chilly Weather, Al Qudra Welcomes Its Annual Visitors

It’s a ritual. Everyone in Dubai, and even those residing in other emirates, wait for Dubai’s mild winter to visit Al Qudra Lake. From November to February, that’s usually when Dubai witnesses the best weather all year. And because Dubaians usually can’t wait to celebrate winter, even though it isn’t really your typical winter, they start embracing it as soon as there are the slightest signs of the weather getting better.

If you’re looking to go for a picnic, a stargazing spot, or even a break to chill from the bustling city in the desert, and by the lake, Qudra, with its mesmerizing sand dunes and its beautiful artificial lakes, is the perfect place for you. If you’ve been there before, then you’re probably as excited as we are that the heat is finally starting to go away so you can call up your friends or gather your family and relatives, hop into your car, and spend your day there.

But, if this is your first time hearing about it, we got you. Just make sure you follow a few tips and plan ahead to guarantee enjoying your day. Get all the snacks you want, a straw mat to sit on, speakers for your music, a heavy jacket for when it gets cold at night, remember to wear a comfy outfit, and if you’re into photography, then definitely take your camera with you. There’s even a cycling track with bike rental.

Al Qudra Lake is located at the end of the D63 Al Qudra Road, which starts at Arabian Ranches. Follow Google Maps and you’ll easily get there.

So make a slight change to your traditional outings, and move away from the indoor cafes and malls; you surely won’t regret it!
