In Case You Missed Mountain View’s Yanni Concert, Here Is What Went Down!

Last Friday, world-renowned composer Yanni came to Egypt’s Mountain View North Coast. Accompanied by 15 other musicians, the Greek maestro performed his most well-known compositions including Nostalgia, The Rain Must Fall, World Dance, and many others.

The organizers at Mountain View were working on a Greek-themed project called “Greek Islands”, and Yanni, owing to his roots, was the perfect fit.

With his instrumental jazz and oriental melodies, the concert was an unforgettable spectacle. Indeed, to those who happened to be among the attendees, it was a magical experience and a very good step for tourism in Egypt.

Yanni has always been known for his breathtaking music and the magnificent venues at which he plays his tunes. He has played in a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Taj Mahal in India, Acropolis in Greece, and Carthage in Tunisia, and most importantly, the Pyramids of Giza.

As a matter of fact, it is the second time Yanni plays here in Egypt after his concerts in October of last year entitled “The Dream Concert” at the Giza Pyramids.

The concert at Mountain View has made history as well, as it was the largest seated concert in Egypt’s history with more than 6,000 seated attendees.

Yanni expressed how much he has enjoyed his time in Egypt, from the experience and the vibes to the fact that everything was themed white and blue.

DMC, who were also partners at the event, got an exclusive interview with the amazing Yanni. Check out the interview below:

A myriad of public figures attended the event as well, including the Minister of Culture Enas Abdeldaim, the Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Waly, the Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram, as well as captain Mohammed Fadl, one of the main organizers behind the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The list does not stop there, as actress Boshra along with actor/singer Ahmed Fahmy and Yes Music composer Hisham Kharma were in attendance as well. Stardust were also PR partners at the event.

With a concert this big, some problems are always expected to occur; however, with the organizers from Plan B Events, it couldn’t have been smoother. Attendees did not face any issues during parking, entering, or exiting the once-in-a-lifetime event.
