Hollywood Celebrities are Flocking to Celebrate The Teachers of the World in the UAE

The famous faces you will get to see in Dubai’s Annual Global Teacher Prize on Sunday, March 18, will include, the South African Actress Charlize Theron, Bollywood-Hollywood tar Priyanka Chopra, cricket legend Brian Lara, Kingsman Actor Taron Egerton, Suits Actresses Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty and British Athletics legend Sir Mo Farah. They are attending to celebrate the last day of Dubai’s Global Education and Skills Forum.

The Global Teacher Prize was established in order to give recognition to a teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to the teaching profession. It was developed by Sunny Varkey, Founder and Executive Chairman of the GEMS Education Group. Varkey started a study in 2013 to explore global attitudes towards teaching. The study showed that the professions’ status had dropped in people’s minds, the Global Teacher Prize was developed in an effort to raise the profession’s profile.

The award ceremony is taking place on the final day of Dubai’s Global Education and Skills Forum.
