El-Ahly Serenades Its Fans in New Vodafone Ad and We Can’t Stop the Tears
No, we are not over-reacting, we literally can’t stop the tears. Last night, we were reminded of the days when streets were nothing but football fans cheering for their team, with face paints and noisy horns and tablas that were beautiful music to our ears and people dancing in every street in Cairo.
Vodafone Egypt just collaborated with JWT Cairo and JWT Experience, to bring us one of the most emotional football ads we’ve ever watched. The ad starts with Ramadan Sobhy serenading his fans with the team’s own version of the famous Ultras song, showing appreciation to their fans.
Following the horrific Port Said massacre events, fans have been banned from attending domestic football matches which definitely had its toll on the players and football lovers alike. Yet, the devoted fans stood by their team through thick and thin, and showed their true colors by supporting their team even when all they could do was attend trainings. We believe this is the least El-Ahly can do for its family.
