Egyptian Writer Wahid Hamed to Be Honored with Arab Lifetime Achievement Award

The outstanding Egyptian writer, Wahid Hamed, has been awarded with this year’s Arab Lifetime Achievement Award for his influential screenplays and his powerful contributions to the film-making industry.

 

The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is confirmed to run from December 6 to 13 in its 14th edition. The Egyptian writer is set to receive his award at the event.

Hamed expressed his excitement about the award and said that he is looking forward to DIFF this year. “I am very touched to receive this prestigious award from the Dubai International Film Festival and look forward to accepting the award in person in Dubai this December,” Hamed told Arabian Business.

 

The writer is famous for his 1992 black comedy, “Terrorism and Kebab,” and the 2006 hit movie “The Yacoubian Building.”
