To help bridge the gap between the local businesses that need employees and job seekers, Facebook developed a new feature that helps people apply to new jobs directly on the website. Since most of the people on the planet are on Facebook, the new feature will definitely be a win-win situation for the businesses and the people hunting for jobs.

For job seeks, the process is quick, easy, and free! One can find jobs in the Jobs dashboard at facebook.com/jobs and the “Jobs” option in the “Explore” section on mobile, by clicking the Jobs icon in Marketplace, or visiting the Jobs tab of a business’ Page. When one is ready to apply for a role, they can create an application, which will populate with job history and other information in their Facebook profile.

For businesses, the process is also quick, easy, and affordable. Page admins can create job posts directly from their Page with details like job title, job type (full-time, intern, part-time), salary and more. Job posts can appear in News Feed similar to other Page posts, and businesses can choose to boost posts to reach the right candidates. Businesses can also manage their applications and communicate with applicants, including scheduling interviews and sending automated reminders, directly through Messenger.

WE SAID THIS: How do you think the new feature will influence the Egyptian job market?
