Amer Zahr: The Palestinian Comedian Making Us Laugh Since 2010

One of our favorite Arab comedians is hands down Amer Zahr. The Palestinian-American comedian, writer, filmmaker, political activist, and professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law uses his platform to satirically tackle being a Palestinian living in the United States.

His content is hilarious and unapologetic. Zahr is no stranger to the world of politics, as he served as a surrogate for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in 2016. Zahr has also had quite the career with headlining a full house at New York City’s world-famous Carnegie Hall and producing an all-Palestinian-cast show at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.

With three world tours, “1001 Laughs Comedy Tour”, “We’re Not White!”, and “In 1948”, a documentary film also named “We’re Not White”  under his sleeve, here are some of Amer Zahr’s funniest moments:
