Palestinian-American stand-up comedian and actor Mo Amer is bringing his sharp wit and signature storytelling to Egypt for the first time ever.
The comedy star will perform in the New Capital on October 1. Tickets are already on sale, and fans are already packing for a night of laughs, charm, and unforgettable comedy.

Amer first broke onto the global stage with his Netflix specials The Vagabond (2018) and Mohammed in Texas (2021), which spotlighted his unique ability to turn personal history into sharp, universal humor. His comedy draws from his life as a Palestinian refugee who fled Kuwait during the Gulf War before resettling in Houston, Texas—a journey that gives his material both intimacy and bite.
In 2022, he co-created and starred in Mo, the acclaimed semi-autobiographical Netflix series about a Palestinian family navigating refugee life in the United States. The show went on to win a Gotham Award and was named among AFI’s top television programs of the year.

Beyond Netflix, Amer has performed in lots of countries across several continents, from London’s Royal Albert Hall to major U.S. arenas, and has appeared in hit shows like Ramy. His ability to blend humor with lived experience has cemented him as one of the most distinctive Arab-American voices in global comedy, making his long-awaited Egypt performance all the more exciting.
