La Liste Names Khufu’s Restaurant A Hidden Gem Of The Mediterranean

With striking views that overlook the Pyramids, Khufu’s restaurant is considered one of the first fine dinning Egyptian restaurant in the world. By cooking up new dishes while conserving traditional Egyptian ingredients, Khufu’s aims to elevate Egyptian cuisine. The restaurant situated on the Giza Plateau, was recently named “A Hidden Gem of the Mediterranean” by La Liste.

La Liste is a platform that recognizes the world’s best restaurants and pastry shops according to 1000 publications, guides, and cross-referenced reviews.

In an Instagram post, Giovanni Bolandrini, CEO & Owner Of Pier88 Group, commented, “what an emotional moment, receiving this recognition ‘A hidden Gem of the Mediterranean’ for us as a company and for Egypt, the country that adopted me. I am so happy that the culinary world noticed khufu’s Restaurant part of the Pier88 group and finally to be placed on the culinary Map.” He then expressed that this was a dream that finally came true.

Bolandrini believes that the idea of Khufu’s is to bring the past into the present by fusing the site’s extensive historical and cultural legacy with modernist design elements that are relevant to the time in which we currently live.
