Will Queen Elizabeth II’s Ship be Dubai’s Latest Royal Hotel?
After nearly a decade in Port Rashid’s dock, the world’s famous Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship is set to open as a hotel and museum during the first half of 2018.
The ship settled at the Dubai ports back in November 2008, after it’s final trip from England and it has been undergoing a makeover ever since. Although the Port, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) haven’t confirmed anything yet, signs have been seen in front of the ship directing visitors to the main entrance and hotel’s parking.
In addition; the ship’s website qe2.com just went live with a ‘coming soon’ banner and promised a ‘new level of hospitality’ and ‘royal experience.’
A maritime museum, displaying memorabilia that are four decades old, is also set to open on board the ship.
