TE Data Announces A Technical Problem With The Internet In Egypt
TE Data reported that Egypt, and other neighboring states, have been facing trouble running the internet smoothly, which they are working on solving.
TE Data also reported that it should be back to normal by the next few days without specifying when exactly, however, Tahrir News announced that the internet will return back to normal on the 9th of January.
On the 20th of December, Sea-Me-We 3, an optical submarine telecommunications Cable Company, stated that one of the main cables was torn, clarifying that the cable passes by Egypt and countries in that region.
Egyptians have expressed distress, through TE Data’s Facebook page, towards the extremely slow internet, and they are accusing TE Data that the internet has been slower than usual for weeks, regardless of the recent events.
