9 Hijabi Women Who Are Breaking Boundaries and Taking Things to the next Level

Muslim women have been dominating the media, fashion, beauty, sports and arts scene all over the globe and we definitely won’t hesitate to jump at the chance to support them for breaking the stereotypes that revolve around Muslim women, especially hijabis.

 

Hijabi women are almost always subjected to all kinds of misconceptions, but now they are bringing in a new meaning to our conservative culture. And with hijab becoming more widespread, we thought that it was about time to compile a list of kickass hijabi women who we truly admire for showing the world that hijab is NOT a symbol of oppression. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Mona Haydar needs no introduction, with her last two rap songs ‘Wrap My Hijab’ and ‘Dog,’ we have decided to name her the Rap Goddess! Her first single ‘Hijabi’ was a groundbreaking debut with over a million views on YouTube and another million on Facebook which featured Haydar 8 months pregnant with her second son. She is currently working towards her Masters in Theology.
