Friends, family and spinners flocked to the Red Sea for the 3rd Annual El Gouna International Spinning Marathon. Folks brave and crazy enough to join the marathon were spinning for eight hours by the pool against Club 88’s jaw-dropping view. The marathon was not only a challenge of the body, but of the heart and soul as participants endured a variation of spinning challenges in 40-degree weather.

Three years ago, the El Gouna International Spinning Marathon became the first spinning marathon in Egypt and today, it has become one of the most popular spinning events in the Middle East. Along with being a must-attend event for spinning fanatics, it has attracted a global crowd, with a large group of European participants and instructors at the longest-running spinning marathon in the Middle East.

In order to keep going for eight hours, LAX Gym hosted some of the world’s most extraordinary spinning talent and entertainment. The El Gouna International Spinning Marathon took on the concept of a beach party on wheels, which created a fun atmosphere for spinners and their supporters. The lineup included a belly dancer, DJ, live music, Ibiza’s very own crane dancers and singer Peyton. A costume contest was also hosted for spinners to enter in a chance to win every spinner’s dream: an Eco Bike.

The marathon was followed by an after-party at Mosaique Hotel’s The Hood, where participants, their cheerleaders and El Gouna’s party crowd came to celebrate the triumphs and champions of the day. Spinners who dominated the full eight hours alone proved their dedication, endurance and passion for spinning, while spinning groups celebrated their commitment, energy and teamwork.
