#WaraElCeema: Amr Salama Gives Us the Inside Scoop on Netflix’s First Egyptian Original, ‘Paranormal’
In this edition of #WaraElCeema, we had a very special conversation with the man of the hour, Amr Salama! The award-winning director is directing the most interesting and anticipated series of 2020, Paranormal. During a set visit, while they were shooting the series, we got to talk to the people behind this amazing project and got an exclusive one-on-one with the man himself!
Paranormal is the first-ever Egyptian Netflix Original Series, and it’s the most anticipated project in the Arab World, so it’s fair to say, all the eyes are on it and the expectations are super high! The series is adapted from Ahmed Khaled Tawfik’s popular book series in the ’90s of the same name (Ma Wara’ Al Tabe’a). The series features Ahmed Amin as Refat Ismail, Razan Jammal as Maggie and is produced by the renowned Mohamed Hefzy.
During this interesting encounter, we got to talk about the challenges that he faced during this project, how he was able to add his own essence to the series, what it’s like to work with kids, introducing horror in the region and more.
